Master Class 3
DATE: Wednesday 9 June 2027
TIME: 3.30pm to 5.00pm (live online and recorded)
TOPIC: Before you add another app: Making sense of Microsoft 365
GUEST SPEAKER: Marianne Tansley
Master Class Overview
Schools and the offices that support them already have access to a powerful suite of tools through Microsoft 365, yet staff still find themselves dealing with duplicated work, information living in too many places, and uncertainty around when to use Teams, email, SharePoint or OneDrive. In this practical masterclass, systems strategist and Microsoft 365 educator Marianne Tansley will unpack how the different parts of Microsoft 365 work together, and how EAs can make better decisions about where work lives, how information flows, and how teams collaborate.
Rather than focusing on button clicks or software features, this session explores the role Microsoft 365 plays in the bigger picture of communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing. We’ll look at common workplace frustrations, where they come from, and practical ways to reduce duplication, chasing, and confusion using the tools you already have. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, practical ideas they can apply immediately, and a framework for making better decisions about communication, collaboration, and information management.
Introducing Marianne Tansley
Marianne Tansley (Maz) is a Systems Strategist and Microsoft 365 educator who helps people make work make sense.
With a background as an Executive Assistant, she understands the reality of juggling competing priorities, managing information from multiple directions, and often being the person holding everything together behind the scenes.
Today, Maz works with administration professionals, leadership teams, and small businesses to improve the way work happens through better systems, clearer information flow, and practical use of technology. Her approach combines systems thinking with real-world Microsoft 365 examples, helping reduce duplication, improve visibility, and get more value from the tools they already have.
