Master Class 5
DATE: Wednesday 1 September 2027
TIME: 3.30pm to 5.00pm (live online and recorded)
TOPIC: To Stand Beside: Mastering the craft of cognitive and relational partnership
GUEST SPEAKER: Dr Rob Loe
Master Class Overview
The Latin root of assist ("ad-sistere") does not mean to stand behind or beneath, but to stand beside. An exceptional Executive Assistant does far more than manage schedules and information; they extend the leader's capacity and co-construct the very culture of leadership. This interactive master class explores the EA role not as a series of administrative tasks, but as a high-level vocation rooted in shared cognition, relational intelligence, and mutual apprenticeship. Moving beyond traditional time-management strategies, we will unpack how to intentionally build alignment, read executive cadences, and design systems that bring both discipline and grace to complex educational environments.
Key Takeaways:
Practical tools to align your thinking with your leader's priorities, moving from reactive execution to proactive harmony.
Strategies for capturing tacit knowledge, anticipating needs before they are voiced, and decoding unwritten leadership instincts.
How to actively monitor the emotional climate of your organisation while protecting executive space for stillness and reflection.
Frameworks to position yourself as an indispensable partner who expands leadership capacity while keeping the human core of education at the center.
